Community Involvement and Civic Engagement

The Visionary Philanthropic Media Arts Foundation is our company's primary philanthropic arm. The foundation was established in 2010 and became a registered 501c3 charitable organization in 2017.

The mission of VPMA Foundation is to educate, empower, and employ under-served youth utilizing media arts to engage them to positively transform themselves, their communities, and the world.

Overview

In 2010, Nadine Robertson, Founder and CEO of VEMG, established VPMA Foundation. Over the past nine years, the foundation has grown with the launch of its Step It Up! Initiative.

Visionary Entertainment Media Group is committed to giving back 1 percent of its prior year’s operating income annually. This commitment is made through Visionary Philanthropic Media Arts Foundation and company donations. 2020 will mark a decade of giving for VEMG and VPMA Foundation. To date the company has gave back more than $50,000 in monetary & in-kind services, along with over 40,000 volunteer service hours to directly benefit nearly 20 organizations in Louisiana and Florida.

Since its inception, the foundation has supported learning inside and outside the classroom. However, addressing critical community challenges and opportunities is an evolving process. In 2015, VPMA Foundation broadened its support to include arts and culture, fitness and nutrition, efforts to strengthen family and community, and political and educational programs. Today, our strategies align with the company’s sustainability platform and include youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.

Priority Areas

Empowering women: economic empowerment and entrepreneurship
Protecting the environment: access to clean water, water conservation and recycling
Enhancing communities: education, youth development and other community and civic initiatives

In addition, the Foundation supports many local community programs such as arts and culture, STEM, and community and economic development programs in the United States and abroad.
